Wilkenfeld chose Jackson Browne as her guide after deciding to write at home in Los Angeles. At the Wild Lobby Of Notoriety 25th Commemoration at Madison Square Nursery, I met Jackson while performing with Jeff Beck.

Wilkenfeld calls Browne a more minor songwriting influence. After meeting Jackson and Benmont through Jackson, I was introduced to many of the artists who inspired me while making the collection.
I learned about Weave Dylan, The Rolling Stones, and Neil Young after they realized I didn't grow up hearing them.
That shaped the collection, and they became my top lyricists along with Elliott Smith and Paul Simon. Alongside Leonard Cohen and Jimi Hendrix, these artists were inspiring my writing in real time.
Cornered
It united the group through food. "Sushi has introduced me to so many important people in my life," she laughs. Benmont and I ordered sushi.
